I would like to inform you that in February 20-24 and April 23-27 Rena Mirecka
will led a workshop in The Grotowski Institute in Wroclaw.
In March 14 - 18, Zygmunt Molik will have a work session .We still have a few places .
The fee is 150 euro ( not food and accomodation is included )

The workshop lasts from 3 and half to 4 hours a day (starting at 16.00) for 5 days in the Grotowski Institute in Wroclaw.
You have to prepare a text or a song that you will work on (3 to 5 min.)

There will be at most 15 people in a group.

Awakening.

Man should find his place among the whole of life because he’s a part of it.

He has to know that there are different energies in him, not only the material energy. The development of physical, spiritual and material aspects of

our energy determines our awareness and human values.

In order to find one’s place and destination one has to examine and learn about oneself as well as the laws that govern us. Currently it is essential for a man to examine his inner source constantly and get closer to the ENERGY that will help him overcome everything that divides people. This can happen through the transformation of the awareness of each of us and the development of an attitude aimed at common communication.

Participation in an undertaking which touches upon'ACTIVE CULTURE' such as paratheatre can free one s   creative energy and offer unknown experiences.

VOICE and BODY
Zygmunt Molik and Jerzy Grotowski worked together for twenty five years in the Teatr Laboratorium founded by Jerzy Grotowski and Ludwik Flaszen.

Zygmunt Molik was responsible for vocal and physical training. The physical activities prepared by Zygmunt Molik and Jerzy Grotowski were strictly defined and very precise, they let us start the process of body and sound vibration: of spoken and sung voice, of spoken and sung life.
How can the text or song reveal the life that is in the process of happening?

How can an actor fight and win the challenge posed by the Unknown and the Unpredictable, how can he touch the edge of the impossible?
It is not about the technique but about strengthening and structuring the whole individual in order to make clear the vitality and colours of

thoughts as well as the sensitivity of work, of author and of performer.
Through the activation of resonant areas as well as the work on texts and songs proposed by the participants we head towards the aim: to speak as you were singing

without any difference in the openness of voice, resonance or colour caused by personal emotions.
Contact, fluent flow between  movement, dance and spoken or sung text.

The book seems to be like the title, well illustrated journey through years of Rena Mirecka's collaboration with Jerzy Grotowski in the Laboratory Theatre, till her own researches conducted in the International Centre of Work Prema Sãyi (Sardenia, Italy). It contains correspondency, fragments of notes from years 1959-1964, as well as two texts by Rena Mirecka: Przebudzenie [Awakening] (written after the dissolution of the Laboratory Theatre) and A Letter for You – dedicated to workshops participants. The book contains also a conversation of Rena Mirecka with Tadeusz Kornaś, a text of her Italian collaborator: Pier Pietro Brunelli and chronology and bibliography concerning the actress.
